The staff were very helpful and spoke very good English.
The breakfast was the only negative thing about the hotel that was poor.

The location is great although you need a car as it is out of the city. The hotel is very good and the price is fair.

This hotel offers great value for money, with rooms starting at just 60 Euros for a double with breakfast. The large rooms are recently remodeled and have beautiful views from the balcony. The staff is super friendly and the service is top-notch. The location, up on the hillside close to Sant'Agata, provides stunning views of the bay and is just a short walk away from Marina Cantone, where you can enjoy a meal by the sea.
No negative aspects to mention, everything was perfect.

At Hermitage: Very welcoming and helpful staff. Pool at has proper deep end. Breakfast not exciting but plentiful. The Romita annexe is pleasant, clean, simple. A few hundred yards uphill walk away. Fridge in room requires purchase for electric lead. Wifi in room and good value for 3 days. Hotel used by Thompsons. Chill out by the pool; look out over Sorrento way down below and the bay; book shuttle bus in advance if you don't have car.
Previous reviews mentioning distance from Sorrento itself and the dangers of extremely narrow streets if following a sat nav route are correct. Keep to main road and keep going up and up. We used this to visit Pompei etc and found that the traffic queues in late August on the single road in and out of the peninsula made the return journeys at night lengthy.

The hotel was excellent, lovely position, the staff could not do enough for us and were just lovely.
The food of the adjacent and recommended restaurant was very good but rather pricey, especially as there was no menu and you did not know what you let yourself in for.

I recently had a wonderful stay at this hotel just outside of Sorrento. The location of the hotel is perfect, nestled on the mountain top close to Sant'Agata with a superb view of the bay. From my balcony, I could see the beautiful Bay of Naples and even caught sight of Mount Vesuvius in the distance. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed, with a double bed and a big recently remodeled bath. The staff at the hotel were friendly and attentive, ensuring that my stay was enjoyable. Additionally, the breakfast provided was delicious, with a variety of options such as rolls, croissants, cereals, and yoghurt. this hotel offers great value for money and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Sorrento area.
All was perfect.

We didn't like the staff attitude during the first day. We received a room in the old section of the hotel without prenotice. The room was smelly with view to the woods mostly where a view to the beach was promised. Each service in the hotel (including TV) is on pay. The WiFi connection is overpriced (5 Eu per hour). We tried to leave the hotel one day early and did not get a full refund although we told the hotel manager about our wishes >48hours ahead..

The villa only a short walk from the hotel hermitage was excellant we prefered to be away from the main hotel. The breakfast taken at the hotel was excellant as much as you want no limits. The swimming pool was super clean, a baby pool was attached but very safe. Free bathing towels are supplied. The local town of sant'agata is lovely with a few bars and resturants, mini's is recommened great food the town is only a few minutes away. The shuttle service provided (free) is a god send as you are about 15/20 mins away from Sorrento book you place a day in advance service runs from 8.30am until 11.15pm-a taxi will cost about 40 euros. A bus stop is right outsde the hotel but doesn't run late. Free use of computor in reception
To gain access to the frdge we had to ask reception to turn it on, and buy something for it. Tv was similar, no fee but had to ask reception to set it up. No wi-fi available for free, however computer with internet access was available in reception. No tea or coffee facilities in rooms. These comments are minor issues, and does not detract from a great villa.

Villa Romita offers great value for money, making it an excellent choice for budget-conscious travelers. The rooms may be basic, but they are clean and well-maintained, with beautiful views from the balcony. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. One of the highlights is the delicious dinner options, with a variety of choices for each course, and the accommodating staff will happily make adjustments to suit your preferences.
All in all, our experience at this hotel was fantastic and we didn't encounter any issues.

Good breakfast variety, convenient location close to restaurants and shops. The staff were helpful and friendly.
Sadly, the hotel did not meet our expectations for a Christmas stay. The heating system did not work properly, making the room too cold.

We loved the stunning view of the bay from this hotel on the mountains. The friendly staff helped us book excursions and went the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable. The clean pool and great hotel facilities were a bonus. The location, a short drive from Sant'Agata village, meant we had easy access to supermarkets and transportation to nearby cities.
There was nothing we didn't like. This hotel exceeded our expectations and provided a fantastic vacation experience.

Two facts that I liked about this hotel were the view and the pool. However, none of these could make up for the inconvenient location. Although the staff was friendly, it wasn't enough to make me want to stay here again. the only advantage was that it was relatively cheap, however, I would personally choose to spend more money to stay somewhere with better facilities and a better location. I would not recommend this hotel.
The negatives of this hotel really outweighed any positives for me. the location was incredibly inconvenient - it was far from the town and the public transport was limited and unreliable.

I got excellent value for my money at Villa Romita. The room had a fantastic view, even from the shower. The location in the cute village was perfect - not too busy like Sorrento. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout my entire stay.
The morning meal could use some variety.

We enjoyed a peaceful stay away from the main areas, located on the mountain top close to a delightful village with excellent supermarkets. The rooftop terrace offered a superb view of the bay, great for a night in. Staff was friendly and helpful with gluten-free meals. We loved the courtesy shuttle to Sorrento pier and found local buses easy to use.
Furniture needs renovation, as some rooms were outdated and insufficiently equipped.
